Uniform Policy

OUS UNIFORM POLICY


Moreover, OUS students are required to wear uniforms on the first day of school if they are SR K through 4th grade.  However, there will be a 2 week grace period if uniforms have not been received.  During the first two weeks any student not wearing a uniform to school will have a note sent home reminding them to wear their uniform.  After the two week period is over, students not in uniform will be sent home until they are dressed correctly.  There will be exceptions made for students who are new to OUS and simply have not had adequate time to order and receive their uniform.  We ask that parents of new students please send a note if your child is not in uniform explaining that the uniform has been ordered.  

The uniforms are to be purchased from Parker School Uniform with only one exception. The exception is boys are allowed to oder khaki cargo pants and/ or shots from Lands End. HOWEVER, one pair of khaki pants is required to be purchased from Parker for the "dress uniform". There is a specific style while is acceptable from Lands End (SEE BELOW).

For Clarificiation Purposes:

Every students in grades Sr K and up are required to purchase one dress uniform from Parker which as follows:

GIRLS:

Sr K through 3rd grade-  Navy and white plaid jumper with short sleeved Peter Pan blouse with Monogram from Parker

4th grade- Skirt- multi plears and short sleeved 3 button overblouse from Parker

BOYS:

Sr K through 4th grade-  Khaki pants from Parker (can be any style) and Parker short sleeved navy shirt with monogram.

All students in Sr K through 4th grade are REQUIRED to wear uniforms to school each day. Uniforms are optional for Pre K and Jr K students.

 GENERAL REMINDERS:

There will not be an assigned dress day; however teachers will send notes home when students are required to wear their dress uniform.
  • Shoes must be closed toed/ rubber-soled AND white socks are required.
  •  MUST wear appropriate shoes on P.E. days ( If not your child may not participate during the class).
  • The OUS polar fleece jacket/ sweatshirt/sweater/ winderbreaker is the required type of outer wear inside of the classroom, but additional outer layer is permitted if needed for outdoor acvivities.
  • BOYS: 1st- 4th grades are required to keep thier shirts tucked in and wear a brown belt.
  • GIRLS: are required to tuck in the Peter Pan collar shirts; however the middy and 3 button blouses are to be worn untucked.
  • GIRLS: Skirts and dresses should be hemmed no shorter than a "finger tip" above the knee.
  • GIRLS: Not allowed to wear khaki bottoms, except when noted on the calendar for spirit days.
  • GIRLS: Not allowed to wear the navy modestly shorts by themselves (intended for use under skirts and dresses).
  • GIRLS:  Leggings MUST be NAVY, not white.
